Web 2.0 sites

For those of you have heard of Myspace, Web 2.0, the social web, etc, and are wondering what all the buzzis about, I’d like to point you to a couple of sites that are doing just that…

First off Flickr, Flicker is a site that has recently been bought out by yahoo, but is mainly aplace to upload your photos and organize them… once you start adding “tags” that is descriptive words to your photos, you are making the Web 2.0, the scoial netwrok.. everyday users, human beings, adding thier thoughts to content, be it pictures, stories, videos, web pages, etc.

Speaking of adding tags to web pages, we could see a whole new search engine battle emerge with what yahoo is doing with WEb 2.0… You have to log intot your yahoo account to do it, but once you do, you select the sites you want to tag (yahoo myweb), and add some keyword to them, you can set it so that other people can see what you have tagged, and you can view other people’s public site tags, and everyone enjoys a better search, well that’s the goal annyhow..

Want to join a community of people who are all looking to tag everything. no I’m not talking about local grafitti artists, but you may find a few of the there, check out tagworld. Kind of a myspace meets tag 2.0, it’s a nice idea that seems to be catching on…

There are many more places springing up trying to get an audience for thier Web 2.0 ideas, places such as www.me.com, and others are trying hard. Some people would say what they are doing at suprglu.com is similar, and I agree that it is new, but not exactly what web 2.0 was suppose to be about.. but we’ll all see where this all goes!
